Impartiality statement
Certification decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship, and Key-Cert does not offer consultancy services that would compromise the impartiality of a certification decision.
Where training is delivered to a client who also holds or is seeking certification, that training does not include the design or implementation of the client's management system.
Complaints & appeals procedure
Key-Cert Services Limited is committed to transparency, fairness and professionalism in all certification and service activities. Complaints and appeals are received, assessed, investigated and resolved impartially and confidentially.
How to submit a complaint or appeal
Complaints and appeals may be submitted in writing (email, letter or website form) or verbally, in which case they are formally documented by our staff. Send submissions to info@key-cert.com. Anonymous complaints may be considered where sufficient supporting evidence is provided.
Process
Every complaint or appeal is logged and acknowledged within 5 working days. Each case is assessed for validity, scope and any conflict of interest before an objective investigation. Outcomes are confirmed in writing within 30 working days, and all records are retained for at least five years.
Appeals
Appeals against a certification decision must be submitted within 14 days of notification. An independent Appeals Panel, made up of members not involved in the original decision, reviews the case and communicates its final decision in writing within 45 days.
How our team is structured
Certification decisions are made by reviewers separate from the audit team — a structural requirement of our ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation, not just a policy statement.
Technical & auditing team

Certification decision panel
Independent reviewers who make certification decisions separately from the audit team.

Regionally grounded
Based in Nairobi, Key-Cert understands the supply chains, buyer requirements and regulation that shape certification in Kenya, alongside training and certification partnerships that reach beyond it.
